Pilates Instructor & Chartered Physiotherapist
Lynn qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist at the Middlesex Hospital London in 1986. She has gained extensive experience working within the NHS in both physical and mental health settings and is uniquely placed to meet the complex needs of her patients through a holistic approach. She combines part time work as a specialist physiotherapist in an NHS eating disorder service with private hands on physiotherapy and Pilates for rehabilitation.
Lynn has continued to develop her knowledge and skills and her post graduate CPD includes: Diploma in Aromatherapy; CBT courses; Myofascial Release training with John Annan, Til Luchau and Jing Advanced Massage Training Ltd; extensive training in Soft Tissue Techniques; Pilates for physiotherapists with The Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI), to name but a few.
Lynn has developed a special interest in osteoporosis. She keeps up to date with current research, lectures and has written patient leaflets. She is a professional member of the National Osteoporosis society (NOS) and attended the 2016 NOS conference. Lynn has helped many, young and old in managing osteoporosis, optimising bone health and reducing the likelihood of osteoporotic fragility fractures, through education, posture improvement, exercise and modified Pilates as well as hands on pain relieving treatment.
Lynn offers one hour treatment sessions to those suffering pain or following an injury. After a clinical assessment Lynn will discuss her findings with you and recommend a treatment plan to suit you. Treatment may include manual therapy techniques such as passive joint mobilisation, Myofascial Release, Soft Tissue Techniques and massage. A personalised exercise plan or a group Pilates programme would follow to support ongoing management towards recovery.
